Here's something cool I saw yesterday. It's an interview with a creator of pepper spray. He talks of how it began, its original intent, some of the laws that (should) govern its use, and how it has changed over the years. Really interesting interview. It includes many pieces of information, I wanted to include in the "Militarized Police State" post, but had to sacrifice because it would have been too long. Enjoy!
Interview is courtesy of the good folks at "Democracy Now."
And, here is something really interesting, I saw yesterday as well. It's from Diane Sawyer. It shows the power of purchasing goods made in this country. Apparently, if we all were to spend just $64 dollars of our holiday budgets on American goods, it would create about 200,000 jobs in this country. I knew buying US goods was important. I had no idea it could be this effective. Here is the article and video of her news report. And, if you were interested in buying US goods, but wondered where to start, here is a list of companies. It seems no new jobs will come from legislation in D.C. for some time. We might have to do this ourselves. And, please take a few seconds to spread the word. I don't think too many people realize that buying US goods could be this effective.
Back on Friday with a "Week In Review" post, see you then,
James
